A 'Blast Off' is a way of ending a sketch whereupon characters propel themselves into outer space. Such sketches include ‘The Blue Light Disco Sketch’ (see Episode 6), 'The Gardening Australia Gooch Sketch' (see Episode 11), 'The Time Machine Sketch' (see Episode 16), 'The Funny Lady Kidnap Sketch' (see Episode 20) and Bongmasters (see Episode 93). It is also used in the advert for Waterbirth Kombucha in Episode 48, although this can be seen as an advert/sketch hybrid.
A variation on a 'Blast Off' is 'flying off into space', which was was how The Christmas Party Social Committee Sketch ended in Episode 97 when the character of 'John' propelled himself into space to the sound effect of the Six Million Dollar Man.
