William Fraser Anning is a real life former Australian politician who was a senator for Queensland from 2017 to 2019. He was criticised by many for allegedly using Nazi ‘dog whistling’ tactics in his maiden speech to parliament which referenced the ‘final solution’, as well as inflammatory comments after the Christchurch shooting. He was famously 'egged' by a protestor. He was named Grub of the Week in Episode 17.
He was also the recipient of several prank calls in Episode 17, including from Bill Stivens, Funny Lady, Aunty Carol, Ronald, Eggy Boys and the Actual Grub.
