Mark from Dandenong is one of Mary Seymour’s lovers who Mary met at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and who we meet in Episode 20. Mark, who is described as having 'darting eyes', moved in with Mary a week after they met and straight away installed security cameras. According to Mary, Mark had a 'difficult upbringing' and is addicted to painkillers simply ‘because everyone has had a back injury at some stage’ (see Episode 22).
Mark also disconnected Netflix, the internet and took away Mary’s mobile phone after he moved in because he wanted Mary to be 'in the moment'. Mary tells Greg and Ben that Mark is also renovating the shed, apparently to 'make it more secure'.
We hear in Episode 22 that Mark has left Mary, taking all her furniture in the process.
