Philbo is a struggling comedian, but as he says he has 'only been doing comedy for 13 years'. He has appeared several times on the Grub including Episode 99.93 when he revealed his joke about the coronavirus. He had locked himself away for 12 months working on a single joke: ‘You guys heard about corona? I’d rather have a Toohey’s New!’. Philbo somehow built his whole 2021 comedy festival show around this joke, which he titled ‘COVID -19: Corona! Corona! Corona!’.
Philbo next appears in Episode 100, the live episode doing a two minute set touching on topics such as Dreamworld, Pokémon and spiders that Philbo found on the ground.
