An artists depiction of Roxy Dust (Illustrated by Kylie Krackenz)
Roxy Dust is a poet, performance artist and radical feminist who actively embraces call out culture. She is often heard to exclaim 'get my fucking name out of your mouth!'. Her first appearance is in Episode 1 performing the poem 'My Cunt'.
In Episode 9 it was revealed that Roxy once spat at a police horse. In that same episode Roxy performs a scene from a play 'The Blood of My Cunt' in the nude even though the Grub is a podcast.
In Episode 18 Roxy returns to read her poem ‘The Body Politic’ and aggressively requests no feedback. Roxy is often annoyed about not being invited on the podcast or being named as co-host of the Grub.
Roxy next appears in the episode following the 2019 election: Episode 25. She reads her poem ‘This is My Red Wedding’, a poem about the election, Game of Thrones, and ‘[her] pussy’.
In Episode 43 Roxy speaks to Greg about her Facebook page 'Cancel the Grub' which she has created in protest to not being a host of the podcast. When Greg tells Roxy that not everybody can be host then Roxy complains about him being exclusionary. In the same episode Roxy tells how she will be singing her song ‘Come Gather Around My Pussy (Growl Me Out Scott Morrison)’ (which she performs for the Grub) 'naked from the waist down, legs akimbo' until 'something is changed'. When questioned about what she is protesting about she claims that she wants Parliament to be physically shifted inside her pussy.
The Grub catch up with Roxy during the 2020 lockdown (see Episode 88) when she is ‘with child’ as fathered by Ronald Gunch. She claims that she ‘will not adhere to the 9 month rule’ by which she means she plans not to follow a traditional gestation period citing a potential 3 year pregnancy. Roxy also says she wants a boy so she can ‘bury it in dirt and rebirth it’.
Roxy next appears in Episode 93 where she told the podcast that the 2020 US Presidential election had triggered her on a number of levels. As a result Roxy tells us she had an ‘aggressive episode at Woolworths’. When Ben, Greg and guest Xavier then attempted a sketch called ‘The Wacky President’ they are hounded by Roxy singing 'three male voices’ and her further protestations about the phallic nature of bananas discussed in the sketch. Finally she exposed her genitals (as a form of protest) before leaving.
A still pregnant Roxy appears in the GrubMart episode (Episode 99) protesting about plastic outside the store, before breaking up with the father of her unborn child, Ronald. They are still apparently on good terms, however, as she compliments him on his sexual prowess before giving him a lift home via a KFC drive-thru.
Roxy Dust speaks at the Inspiration Day School assembly in Episode 99.6 and promptly tells all the boys to leave. She also reveals that she has several secret cameras pointed at others in whichever room she is in, in order to protect her safety. Towards the end of her appearance in that same episode her voice drops to a lower register, with Roxy saying that she can’t be dictated to about being in the wrong character.
Roxy Dust next appears on the live episode Episode 100 reading her poem ‘My Cunt Can End World Hunger’.
In Episode S3E01 Roxy reads her poem 'My Cunt Is Angry' where she reveals that her vagina has links to the QAnon conspiracy.
